Our Purpose

God has given ALL of us great purpose according to Romans 8:28. 

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

The DBFW's purpose is to:

1. Rely on Divine direction in our vision, planning, and actions.

We accomplish this by:

• Having a vision to glorify God and help people - Proverbs 29:18; I Corinthians 6:19-20

• Trusting God for direction - Proverbs 3:5-6

• Following God's Word as our guide - Psalm 119:105

• Committing our plans to God - Proverbs 16:3

• Allowing God to establish our steps - Proverbs 16:9

• Serving God with all our heart - Colossians 3:23-24

2. Encourage the brethren to persevere and impact the Deaf and hearing world for Christ.

We accomplish this by:

• Remembering we were created for good works - Ephesians 2:10

• Keeping our focus on Jesus and finishing our race with patience - Hebrews 12:1-2

• Encouraging each other to persevere to someday hear, "Well done thou good and faithful servant" - Galatians 6:9

The DBFW's guiding principles are: divine direction, intentionality, stewardship, and integrity.
